Alcestis Rodi is a professor of Urban Design and Planning at the Department of Architecture, University of Patras, Greece. She obtained her Diploma in Architecture from NTUA, Athens, her Master’s in Urban Design from Harvard University and her Ph.D. from TUDelft, where she developed a tool for city center regeneration. Dr. Rodi was also a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Architecture at MIT. She has practiced architecture in USA and Greece and she has advised the Vice President of the Greek Government on urban issues. Her research spans urban typo-morphology, climate-responsive design, and Universal Design. Her design work and research, including the book 'Modern Architectures in History: Greece,’ has gained international acclaim and awards.
Alcestis Rodi jest profesorem urbanistyki i planowania przestrzennego na Wydziale Architektury Uniwersytetu w Patras w Grecji. Uzyskała dyplom z architektury na NTUA w Atenach, tytuł magistra urbanistyki na Uniwersytecie Harvarda oraz doktorat na TUDelft, gdzie opracowała narzędzie tool for city center regeneration. Dr Rodi była również profesorem wizytującym na Wydziale Architektury MIT w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Praktykowała jako architekt w USA i Grecji oraz doradzała wiceprezydentowi rządu Grecji w kwestiach polityki przestrzennej miasta. Jej badania obejmują typomorfologię miejską, projektowanie reagujące na klimat i projektowanie uniwersalne.
